When you get assigned to shoot game video for a sports program, you never know what you're going to get.
In this case, we found out the JCCC volleyball team was really into a dance based on a movie about a dead guy. What started off as getting volleyball B-roll for a 2012 edition of "Cavalier Sports Report" turned into this short video with CSR host Benjamyn Eaton and volleyball player Shannon McCarty doing "the Bernie," which is based on the Weekend at Bernie's films.
For those of you who haven't seen the movies, the titular character is killed by lethal injection by his mob connections and then has his corpse dragged around by his two moronic employees. The Bernie dance specifically imitates the corpse's movement during the sequel (which I admit to having not seen). Apparently magic and music are involved. In addition to getting that game footage, I also did in-studio audio. Video was edited by Stephen Tafoya.
