MIKE CZERNIEWSKI
videographer, editor and so much more

about

My name is Mike Czerniewski (pronounced chair-NEFF-ski). I am a videographer and video editor in the Kansas City area.
My video story starts in 1998, when I purchased my first video camera. In the beginning, I did little videos with my friends that we would send up to another friend at Dartmouth College.
After graduating in 2003 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a business degree, I got involved in local independent film. For me, it was a real learning experience. Like an on-the-job film school, if you will.
A few years ago, I decided that I wanted to pursue film and video professionally, so I went back to school at Johnson County Community College and started taking video classes. During this time, I did an internship at KCPT, Kansas City's PBS station, and worked for the college's student television station, JCAV, as an assistant executive producer.
I occasionally blog, do photojournalism, and write screenplays. I also produce two podcasts, Sunflower Brew and Winning Side Coaches.
Now that the classes are finished, I am available for contract video work. I am negotiable and have a reasonable starting price of $15 an hour.
I currently shoot on a 2008 JVC Everio HD camera and edit using Adobe Premiere Pro. I am comfortable with just about any video camera and know Final Cut Pro X.
I am available for the following types of projects:
-
Independent films (comedy, drama and some sci-fi)
-
Video journalism for television and the Internet
-
Documentaries
-
Contract video work
-
Photojournalism
-
Consultation
-
And much more...
No weddings or pornography, please.
I look forward to working with you on your video and media needs.
