The "Uncalled For" Sweatshirt

I have a confession to make: I'm a closet Dukie.
Can you blame me? I share the Polish heritage of Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski (including the difficult to spell and pronounce family name - and no, we are not related). I can't stand UNC (and former KU) basketball coach Roy Williams.
And I prefer the darker blue of the Blue Devils to the powder blue of the Tar Heels every day of the week. My sister knew enough of my inner Cameron Craziness to buy me a Duke hoodie as a gift. Which led to this photo and an interesting exchange.
The photo itself is from a January 2013 recording of the Sunflower Brew podcast at the Johnson County Democratic Party's monthly Second Saturday breakfast. (We traditionally take a photo with at least the guest following each podcast recording.) In the photo are (l to r): Sunflower Brew host Zach Luea; Reggie Marselus, our guest for this particular episode; and myself. Reggie is a retired electrical worker who's still very much involved with the labor unions. He's also a Democratic candidate for the Kansas 3rd Congressional District in 2014.
On to the Facebook exchange. After posting this photo to the Sunflower Brew Facebook page, Amber Versola (who is the last guest we had on the podcast prior to going on birth-related hiatus) started the exchange: AV: Michael Czerniewski -That sweatshirt is uncalled for!!
MC: What do you want from me? It's frickin' cold out! As long as [name redacted] (big Carolina fan) doesn't see this, I'll be fine.
AV: Ummmm I'm sure I have a KU hoodie somewhere that you could borrow. lol
MC: I will be dead and gone before I allow any KU crap on my person.
AV: boooooooo!!! lol Shortly thereafter, I reposted this photo to my personal Facebook page with the following comment: "Yes, it's a Duke sweatshirt."
To this day, that sweatshirt is known as the "uncalled for" sweatshirt.
